The 24th Biennale of Sydney, titled “Ten Thousand Suns” promises to be a transformative experience from March 9 to June 10, 2024. Curated by Cosmin Costinaş and Inti Guerrero, the event spans six iconic locations in Sydney, showcasing visionary artworks from leading global artists. One of the highlights is the reopening of the White Bay Power Station, a heritage-listed site closed for over a century. Placemaking NSW has undertaken extensive remediation, repurposing it as an art, cultural, and community hub, symbolizing the transformation of the Bays West precinct.

The nightly projection, “Badu Gili: Celestial,” on the Sydney Opera House’s Eastern Bennelong Sails, invites spectators to explore First Nations’ ancient celestial navigation practices. This fusion of art and cityscape promises a magical experience throughout 2024. The Biennale offers free entry, making it an inclusive cultural extravaganza for art enthusiasts and curious minds.
