In response to devastating wildfires, Los Angeles’ top art institutions, including the Getty Trust, LACMA, and the Hammer Museum, have established a $12 million emergency fund to support artists and cultural workers who’ve lost homes, studios, or livelihoods.

The fund, organized by the Center for Cultural Innovation, aims to provide swift financial relief, with initial contributions from the Getty’s $9.1 billion endowment and donations from organizations like MOCA, the Andy Warhol Foundation, and Qatar Museums.

“Los Angeles is an incredible community of artists, and we can’t afford to lose them,” said Getty Trust CEO Katherine E. Fleming. Grants are available now at www.cciarts.org for those impacted by the fires.
